Soccer Game Preview: Jones County vs. First Presbyterian Day

The Jones County Greyhounds will face off against the First Presbyterian Day Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jones County has yet to allow a single goal through four matches this season, a streak First Presbyterian Day will look to end.

First Presbyterian Day will be up against a hot Jones County team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Jones County came out on top against Jasper County by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Greyhounds' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

As for First Presbyterian Day, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they had a phenomenal run, finishing with a superb 15-1 record.

Jones County might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from First Presbyterian Day in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Jones County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
