Baseball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Polk County hit Midway with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Green Wave fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-6. The Green Wave's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Caiden Brewer and Brennan Reed stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brewer got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI and one run, while Reed went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15-1. As for Polk County, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
