Perrysburg had won 20 straight games dating back to last season and Ethan Gray did his part to make it 21 on Tuesday. The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Springfield Blue Devils which was due in part to Gray, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted since back in April of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Perrysburg who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Springfield lost, don't look at Jonah Sheppard. Despite the final result, he had 19 digs. Sheppard has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times he's played.

Perrysburg pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Perrysburg will face off against Anthony Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, they will square off against Northview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
