Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Evergreen Valley lost against Branham back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 3-2.

Evergreen Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Branham work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 26-24, 19-25, 23-25, 15-11.

Evergreen Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season. As for Branham, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-15.

Evergreen Valley and Branham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 419th) will meet Cupertino (ranked 159th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Branham will square off against Carlmont at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (365 vs. 136).
