Holcomb came tearing into Tuesday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Ulysses Tigers as they made off with a 22-4 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Holcomb's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Ulysses, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Holcomb beat the Tigers by a score of 19-5 later that day.
