Memphis Central never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Kingsbury Falcons with a sharp 16-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Daysia Lewis was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jericka Self, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Memphis Central pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kingsbury, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memphis Central will square off against Germantown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingsbury, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Memphis East at 4:30 p.m.
