Basketball Game Preview: West Morgan Rebels vs. East Lawrence Eagles

An exciting East v. West battle is about to be fought. The West Morgan Rebels and the East Lawrence Eagles will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. West Morgan will be strutting in after a victory while East Lawrence will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, West Morgan strolled past Brewer with points to spare, taking the game 59-42. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Patriots are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Lawrence unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Good Hope.

West Morgan's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for East Lawrence, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.
