Volleyball Recap: Riverside-Brookfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Riverside-Brookfield entered their tilt with Plainfield East on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bengals. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Nickolas Rivera paced Riverside-Brookfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Rivera got some help from Liam Keohane and his eight assists. Finally, Rivera was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Riverside-Brookfield's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Plainfield East, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Riverside-Brookfield will square off against Oak Lawn at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainfield East, they will welcome Lockport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
