Orange Vista is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Liberty: they outscored them in every quarter. Orange Vista took down Liberty 73-59 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Orange Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Wooten, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Wooten is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Suttle, who posted 12 points along with six assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Miners with a sharp 61-35 win. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Miners are ranked 1037th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Orange Vista has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
