Recap: Drumright Tornadoes vs. Wetumka Chieftains
The Drumright Tornadoes put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 66-56 victory over Wetumka. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Drumright's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathon Chavez, who scored 22 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Joseph Bray was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds.
Drumright's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Wetumka, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Drumright will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oilton at 8:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Wetumka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Butner is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
