John Jay put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Scarsdale Raiders as they made off with a 12-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Landon Seipp looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Jendras, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Martino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

John Jay pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Scarsdale, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Looking ahead, John Jay will challenge Beacon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3.2, the Bulldogs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Scarsdale, they will take on Blind Brook at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
