If Seattle Academy was riding high fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Cleveland last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell just short of the O'Dea Fighting Irish by a score of 5-4 on Friday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Seattle Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for O'Dea, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seattle Academy will take on rival West Seattle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cardinals 3, West Seattle 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
