Recap: Skipstone Academy Warriors vs. Forest

The Skipstone Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 65-56 to Forest. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Skipstone Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Griffith Teate, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for Teate. Another player making a difference was Kelvin "Deuce" Searcy, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Skipstone Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Skipstone Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Forest, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skipstone Academy will take on Young Americans Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forest, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. Grace Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
