Baseball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

After flying high against Santa Fe South on Monday, MacArthur came back down to earth. The Highlanders fell 6-3 to the Piedmont Wildcats on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 19-17. As for Piedmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season.

MacArthur will take on Eisenhower at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Piedmont, they will square off against Carl Albert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
