Basketball Game Preview: Moody Bearcats vs. Riesel Indians

The Moody Bearcats will challenge the Riesel Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Moody is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marlin just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Bulldogs at home by a 61-42 margin.

Meanwhile, Riesel was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Tuesday as they fell 48-43 to Axtell. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moody's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Riesel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Moody came up short against Riesel when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 47-43. Can Moody avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
