Softball Recap: Texas City Extends Winning Streak to Three

Texas City had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Columbia Roughnecks by a score of 4-1. For the Stingarees, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Roughnecks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Texas City's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Columbia, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Texas City will be taking part in a tournament against Shadow Creek at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will take on Cuero in a tournament on Thursday.
