Bartow extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Messiah Borders. The Bartow Yellow Jackets breezed by the Winter Haven Blue Devils to the tune of 73-43 on Thursday thanks in part to Borders, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and six steals. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Winter Haven lost, don't look at Troy Boswell Jr. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 15 on his way to 20 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jordan Hanrahan, who posted four points.

Bartow's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Winter Haven, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Bartow will take on Milton in a tournament on Saturday. Bartow is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 71.9 points per game this season. As for Winter Haven, they will challenge Unicoi County at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Unicoi County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
