Basketball Game Preview: Brunswick Wildcats vs. Linn County Mustangs

The Brunswick Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Linn County Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brunswick will be strutting in after a win while Linn County will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Brunswick was fully in charge, breezing past Norborne 66-34. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Linn County was beaten by Novinger 75-17 on Tuesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brunswick is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Linn County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Brunswick against Linn County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 53-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brunswick since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
