Baseball Preview: Gateway College Preparatory Gators vs. Navasota Rattlers
The Gateway College Preparatory Gators are taking a road trip to face off against the Navasota Rattlers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Gateway College Preparatory proved they can win big on Friday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Coldspring-Oakhurst. The win was familiar territory for the Gators, who have now won four games in a row.
Kaleb Sprinkle tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Andres Garza-Gongora was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

The team relied heavily on Jaxson Bowman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Otto, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
The victory got Navasota back to even at 5-5. As for Gateway College Preparatory, their record now sits at 6-2.
