There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of Skyline's senior Joe Green, an offensive menace who scored five total TDs.
Welcome
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Steilacoom last week (their 3rd in a row). Everything went its way against Cascade Christian as it secured a 51 - 6 win. Steilacoom especially relied on senior JJ Lemming, who tossed the ball for 188 yards and four TDs, and senior Jaymason Willingham, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown. The win also thrust Steilacoom into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 22nd spot.
Can't Touch This
Skyline got a 50 - 21 win over Newport - Bellevue last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Joe Green. Green threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. That performance made Green one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
A
It was a battle of top-notch squads when Rainier Beach (11th in the MaxPreps state rankings) took on Eastside Catholic (1st) last week. Rainier Beach has to be hurting after a devastating 48 - 22 defeat at the hands of Eastside Catholic. As a result, Rainier Beach fell three positions in the power rankings.
Movin on Up
The MaxPreps rankings indicated that Bellarmine Prep would come out the decided victor last week, and the rankings were spot on. It blew past Olympia 35 - 14. The Olympia defense has struggled this season (giving up an average of 33 points per game), and Bellarmine Prep took advantage of that. The success catapulted Bellarmine Prep 11 spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.
