Volleyball Recap: Central Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Beyer Patriots. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-17 in the first set.

Central Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Kassandra Torres and Sofia Garibay, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Gabriela Delatorre and her ten assists. Torres was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Central Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Beyer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central Valley will face off against rival Livingston at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beyer is set to square off against their familiar foe Pacheco at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
