Softball Recap: Mineral County Serpents vs. Tonopah Muckers

Mineral County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 29-11 defeat at the hands of the Tonopah Muckers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mineral County of the 21-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

Olivia Moody and Jazmin Serrato stepped up to the plate in a big way. Moody scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Serrato scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Caitlyn Sanchez was another key contributor, going 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Even though they lost, Mineral County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've managed all season.
