Baseball Recap: Bangor Comes Up Short

Bangor lost against Southern Lehigh back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Slaters fell 5-2 to the Spartans.

Bangor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kurt Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Bangor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Southern Lehigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Bangor will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Wilson Area at 11:00 a.m. As for Southern Lehigh, they will venture away from home to challenge Freedom at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
