Volleyball Recap: Oakland Christian Comes Up Short

Oakland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eaglets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Leading St. Mary's Prep to victory were Zoey Kapeller and Reese Holton. Kapeller had four digs and three aces, while Holton had six kills and one assist. That's the most aces Kapeller has posted since back in November of 2024.

Oakland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-3. As for St. Mary's Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-3.

Oakland Christian has already played their next match (against Seaholm), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for St. Mary's Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Churchill on the 13th.
