Baseball Game Preview: Potterville Vikings vs. Laingsburg Wolfpack

Potterville is 0-4 against Laingsburg since May of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Vikings will host the Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. The contest will give Potterville their first taste of in-conference action this season.

If Potterville beats Laingsburg with 17 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Vikings beat Eastern last Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-10. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Potterville got a massive performance out of Ezzy Taylor, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Aidan Stirrett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Laingsburg posted their closest victory since May 15, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fulton 4-3.

Laingsburg's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1. As for Potterville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
