Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton lost against Gayville-Volin back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Titans came up short against the Raiders, falling 15-3. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Gayville-Volin, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will take on Bon Homme at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gayville-Volin, they have already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against Viborg/Hurley on the 3rd.
