The Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers and the Manteo Redskins will round out the year against one another at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Manteo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastern Christian HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.
Eastern Christian HomeSchool had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They managed a 52-47 victory over Terra Ceia Christian.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Manteo's good fortune finally ran out last Thursday. They fell to Holmes 68-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Zay Williams, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taylor Granitzki, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds.
Eastern Christian HomeSchool now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Manteo, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
