Baseball Recap: Prairie Du Chien Beats River Valley for Their Third Straight Victory

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Prairie du Chien ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against River Valley, sneaking past 4-3. The win was familiar territory for Prairie du Chien, who have now won three games in a row.

Bryce Lenzendorf was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Lenzendorf was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Deacon Chesebro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Prairie du Chien's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for River Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie du Chien will venture away from home to square off against Luther at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Valley, they will head out to take on Fennimore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
