Basketball Recap: Herriman Piles Up the Points Against Foothill

The Herriman Mustangs took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 72-42 victory over the Foothill Falcons.

Carlo Mulford was a one-man wrecking crew as he posted 22 points and five assists. The contest was his third in a row with at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Stone Tia, who scored 12 points and six boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Herriman was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothill only racked up nine.

Despite the loss, Foothill still got an impressive performance from Packer Kelley, who put up eight points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas York, who earned seven points.

Herriman now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Herriman will take on Alta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Foothill, they have already played their next game, a 76-33 defeat against Timpview on the 5th.
