Softball Recap: Knight Takes a Loss

Knight was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 18-15 to the Eastside Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Knight's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Eastside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Knight Hawks face off against Lancaster Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Knight's pitchers better be ready for this one: Lancaster has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Eastside, they will venture away from home to take on Quartz Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside will need to watch out since Quartz Hill has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
