Soccer Game Preview: Saint James vs. LAMP

Saint James is 1-7-1 against LAMP since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Saint James will look to defend their home pitch against LAMP at 7:00 p.m. Saint James will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Saint James' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Pike Road. Two seems to be a good number for Saint James as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LAMP). They blew past Booker T. Washington 10-0 two weeks ago. The victory continues a trend for LAMP in their matchups with Booker T. Washington: they've now won five in a row.

Saint James pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for LAMP, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Saint James came up short against LAMP when the teams last played back in March of 2022, falling 2-0. Can Saint James avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
