Baseball Recap: Mcnairy Central Has No Trouble Against Booneville

McNairy Central barely beat Booneville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The McNairy Central Bobcats were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Booneville Blue Devils on Tuesday. The contest marked the Bobcats' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Case Stone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Case Rickman, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker McMahan, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

McNairy Central's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Booneville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

McNairy Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 victory against Riverside on the 13th. As for Booneville, they will challenge Kossuth at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
