In what's become a running theme this season, the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 54-26 win over Liberty Union. Given Bloom-Carroll's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Liberty Union is ranked 403rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emily Bratton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Tessa Brooks was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Bloom-Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Liberty Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloom-Carroll will take on North Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Amanda-Clearcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amanda-Clearcreek is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
