Softball Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

Lake Forest lost against Warren Township on April 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Scouts came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 9-2. The Scouts just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

LaMartin Natalie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Lake Forest's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Warren Township, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Lake Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland Park at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren Township, they are taking a road trip to take on Waukegan at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
