Preview: Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles vs. St. John XXIII Lions
Fort Bend Christian Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the St. John XXIII Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Fort Bend Christian Academy took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kelly Catholic. Fort Bend Christian Academy has not had much luck with Kelly Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their defeat, Fort Bend Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Morgan Carter, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Peschel, who scored four points along with three steals.
St. John XXIII suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Wednesday. They were dealt a 75-32 defeat at the hands of Second Baptist. While losing is never fun, St. John XXIII can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 777th, while Second Baptist is ranked 347th).
Fort Bend Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for St. John XXIII, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Fort Bend Christian Academy came up short against St. John XXIII in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 46-33. Can Fort Bend Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
