Volleyball Recap: Newberry Takes a Loss

Newberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Pelion Panthers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Newberry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pelion, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Looking ahead, Newberry will face off against Fairfield Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pelion, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Chesterfield on the 20th.
