Westside took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Howard Huskies by a score of 41-34. The victory continues a trend for the Seminoles in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.

Westside was led to victory by Tyleik Flint and James Neville. Flint rushed for 171 yards and two scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, while Neville rushed for 73 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Neville a new career-high.

Westside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kenneth Hogges and Neville. Westside got some further help from Taveion Oliver: he picked up a sack, forced two fumbles, and made four total tackles.

Coming up, Westside will head out to face off against Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Howard, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rutland at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th.
