It's playoff time, and Riesel had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Moody Bearcats on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their 19th in a row.

Kyleigh Benton (UAM) was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sveva Mariotti was incredible, firing off two home runs and one stolen base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Landri Pick (Georgia Tech), who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Riesel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moody only managed six hits.

Riesel's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Moody, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-10-1.

Coming up, Riesel will square off against Clarendon on the 24th. The Broncos will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. Moody does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
