League recap: Rodriguez overpowering for Salem Academy Charter in past week

Massachusetts Charter league recap: 5/22/13

Brayan Rodriguez was the best pitcher in Massachusetts Charter this week, leading Salem Academy Charter. Over the past week, he had two wins and 17 Ks.

Assil Warden was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .667 average, two home runs and six RBIs. Pioneer Charter School of Science compiled a record of 2-0 in that time.

Foxborough Regional Charter's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing one hit and two walks to lead the league in both categories.

The Navigator, the league's stolen base leader this season with 86, added to their lead in that category with 15 more steals over the past week.

There were ten hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Joe Langone, who hit .800 this week (4-for-5).

Salem Academy Charter's Rodriguez struck out 17 batters over the past week, bringing his league-leading season total to 63.



Dimitri Kanellias drove in four runners as Foxborough Regional Charter defeated Kipp Academy Lynn Collegiate 13-1 on Thursday. He went 1-for-4 and scored two runs.

Curtis Pedersen struck out ten in the Panthers' 22-0 win over Kennedy Health Careers on May 14. Over four innings of work, he gave up three hits and zero runs.
