Basketball Recap: Wilson Memorial Takes a Loss

Wilson Memorial was the 46-43 winner over Buffalo Gap when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets fell 59-50 to the Buffalo Gap Bison on Monday.

Wilson Memorial's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 16-4. As for Buffalo Gap, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Wilson Memorial and Buffalo Gap should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Wilson Memorial (ranked 72nd) will meet Riverheads (ranked 274th) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilson Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road. Similarly, Buffalo Gap will square off against Waynesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 227 places (126 vs. 353).
