Basketball Recap: Silver Bluff Piles Up the Points Against Ridgeland

Silver Bluff's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past Ridgeland, posting a 75-44 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Ridgeland are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Silver Bluff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zyrell Williamson, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Williamson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camron Frazier, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points and five steals.

Silver Bluff was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Ridgeland lost, don't look at Jabien Harris. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Sanders, who posted ten points and five assists.

Silver Bluff's record is now 6-4. As for Ridgeland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Silver Bluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-58 win against Lake Marion on the 30th. As for Ridgeland, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Allendale-Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
