Soccer Recap: Guilford Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Guilford can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Jacobs Golden Eagles on Wednesday. Guilford haven't had much luck with Jacobs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for Jacobs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7-4 record this season.

Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jacobs, they are taking a road trip to square off against Huntley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacobs' defense better be ready for this one: Huntley have averaged an impressive 4.4 goals per game this season.
