Basketball Recap: Jefferson Township Beats Ramsey for Their Third Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Jefferson Township had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 27-13 victory over the Ramsey Rams on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Kiley Shatzel was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Barone, who posted ten points and five steals.

Jefferson Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Jefferson Township's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points on average over those games. As for Ramsey, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
