Volleyball Recap: Lake Fenton Find Success

Lake Fenton won the last time they faced Flushing and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Raiders.

Lake Fenton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-13.

Jillian Ferrill paced Lake Fenton's offense, picking up 17 kills. Ferrill got some help from Molly Rhind and her 20 assists. Ferrill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lake Fenton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Flushing, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.

After both having extra time off, Lake Fenton and Clio will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:15 p.m. on September 4. As for Flushing, they will welcome Linden at 6:15 p.m. on September 4.
