Basketball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 50-39 loss to the Woodlan Warriors. The Eagles lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 70-38 score last time.

Woodlan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Moore, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most points Moore has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Drew Fleek, who had 11 points.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Woodlan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Fremont will head out to challenge Churubusco at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Woodlan, they will welcome Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
