Del Lago Academy and Tri-City Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Del Lago Academy had to settle for second. They fell to the Tri-City Christian Eagles 53-49. The Firebirds' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Dre Cleaves was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-15 to rack up 22 points and six rebounds for Tri-City Christian. Cleaves is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last five games he's played. Jeramiah Turner was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Del Lago Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Tri-City Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
