Football Recap: AHSTW Comes Up Short

AHSTW and Woodbury Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but AHSTW had to settle for second. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Vikings lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in October of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 46-12 score last time.

AHSTW has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Woodbury Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

AHSTW does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodbury Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madrid on November 7. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
