Basketball Recap: Lake Braddock Comes Up Short

Lake Braddock lost against Woodson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lake Braddock Bruins came up short against the Woodson Cavaliers, falling 74-48. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 11th).

Lake Braddock is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Woodson, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Lake Braddock will take on Alexandria City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Braddock is facing Alexandria City at the right time seeing as Alexandria City is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Woodson, they will venture away from home to challenge West Springfield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Woodson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully West Springfield likes a good challenge.
