Basketball Recap: Calamus-Wheatland Comes Up Short

Calamus-Wheatland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Durant Wildcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Calamus-Wheatland's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Durant, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14.

Calamus-Wheatland will face off against Springville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Durant, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-42 defeat against West Branch on the 4th.
