Volleyball Recap: High Tech SD Takes a Loss

High Tech SD was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Storm of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While High Tech SD was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mater Dei Catholic's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

High Tech SD's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mater Dei Catholic, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 19-9.

High Tech SD and Mater Dei Catholic will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Storm will take on rival Clairemont at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mater Dei Catholic is set to face off against their familiar foe Eastlake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
